Waldmann Celebrates its 100th Anniversary

For 100 years now, the name Waldmann has stood for exceptional writing instruments. That wants to be celebrated! On the anniversary, the manufactory has launched a very special fountain pen.

The Waldmann manufactory can look back on a long history: for 100 years, the company has proudly manufactured 100% of its writing instruments in Germany. In 1918 the entrepreneur and inventor Adolf Waldmann founded a production facility for exclusive writing instruments made of gold and silver. The founder pursued his vision right from the start: writing instruments should be "timelessly elegant". Even today, the extraordinary writing instruments are still produced in the manufactory with loving craftsmanship and traditional techniques. The enthusiasm for innovation, modern technologies and elaborate metalworking is reflected in every writing instrument.

For this special occasion, the manufactory has produced a unique anniversary writing instrument in small series. The fountain pen is limited to 100 pieces and made of solid sterling silver and, consciously following the maxim of its founder, is kept in a particularly straightforward form - but no less elaborate. The timelessly elegant line pattern on the cap and shaft was decorated with the traditional engraving technique of guilloché. Once again, Waldmann is demonstrating its reputation as a specialist for extraordinary surfaces. The nib, made of 18-carat gold, completes this special anniversary writing instrument. However, anyone interested in the piston fountain pen should hurry – there are only eight left.
